Hello, my name is David Allison, the youth guy at NBWOC. My goal, and the goal of our church, is to equip today’s youth, teens, preteens, and young adults for the faith- challenging world that sits out there ready to test them. We take our responsibility seriously, and desire to empower you to be ready to tackle temptation, resist the devil, and push back doubt. Its time to say, “Satan, you got punked.”

FEEDING YOUR SPIRIT!

It’s all about the music. To many of us, music is our major influence. We’re always listening to the radio, watching videos, or going crazy at concerts. Maybe even singing our favorite tunes out loud, for those of you a little more daring. Music is where we express ourselves. In our local area there are many Christian radio stations. But most of these are for your mom and dad. Only 2 local programs make our cool list…..but trust me, they are really cool.

For everyday Christian variety and your everyday Christian listening needs, we suggest WLFJ 89.3 and their affiliate 91.3 WLFA. This is actually the same broadcast station, one in S.C. and the other in N.C. For awesome modern music and new Christian artists and releases, tune in to the ‘Sound of Light” program on Saturday nights from 7pm to 10pm. Check them out online at www.hisradio.org . For harder hitting contemporary Christian music we turn to 93.3 the planet for the “Fire X-cape” on Sunday Mornings from 7:30am to 9:00 am. However I must say, this is the only time our family listens to this other- wise secular station.

If you prefer the lighter side of Christian Music 106.9 The Light is your next best station, and they have lots of diverse ministries broadcasting throughout the day.

So don’t be ashamed to listen to whatever Christian music feeds your spirit. God made you this way, and somewhere out there is a Christian band/group to minister to your individual music needs.

Let’s be real with one another. We don’t have to pretend that Christians have it all figured out. There are thoughts that enter your mind, questions that arise, that you need answers to. We use actual Bible accounts of individuals, just like you, who asked some of these same questions. So whether it’s a season of doubt, or feeling all alone, like God has forsaken you, we show you the answers in Scripture. Why? So you can have a Flame retardant Faith, and be Fire Proof.
